Music For Schools Program

We’re extremely excited to announce the launch of the Potomac Records Music For Schools program! The objective for this program is to utilize the Potomac Records Street Team, social media support, and our GoFundMe account to raise money to purchase new musical instruments for Title 1 schools in Loudoun County Virginia. We truly believe it takes a community to make a difference, and we’re asking for not only local, but national support to help provide the musical instruments to the students, the future Rock Stars, one County at a time.

Project 1: Loudoun County School District – Park View High School (Title 1)

The Music for Schools team, led by Program Director and Title 1 Reading specialist, Carissa Comte. Carissa and the street team focus is raising funds to support a designated school district in the Washington DC metropolitan area, with a set goal to achieve by the project deadline, purchase and present the musical equipment to the school and students. The Music for Schools program is excited to work with the Loudoun County, and Prince William County school districts in 2016 and 2017. Developing and maintaining relationships with each county music director to determine the areas of need, and assist by providing the schools most in need with music instruments.
